an excellent summary, craig. i'm not opposed to the bailout per se, but i am opposed to putting on a t-shirt to hide one's gaping wounds from the public eye. continuing to enable, even enhance, a system that deliberately and artificially inflates values is ludicrous, akin to building a house on sand and then selling it to someone who can't afford it.

this is an interesting perspective from a small bank, one of many who are apparently doing well in the periphery of this "crisis."

when i say, "i'm not opposed to the bailout per se" i mean, "i don't want to finance further idiocy, but a bill that removes current mortgage structures, thus bailing out the economy in the long run, is one i can get behind."

Ron Paul (my hero) sent out a few interesting emails a few days ago regarding this. He is, naturally, opposed to the bail out, for similiar reasons as Miron.
