Classical Conversations is here in St. Louis!
After a great first year of Classical Conversations in St. Louis, we're going to do it again next year! We're also adding a program in West County, making four in our area!
The following video was not produced by Classical Conversations Corporate, but by the local CC group in Memphis, TN. I think it gives a pretty good idea of what the classes are like and what you can expect. Other Classical Conversations videos can be found here.
St. Louis Area Foundations Programs:
MId-County Location The director for the Mid-County location is me (Megan Dunham). I can be reached by email. Here is the meeting information:
Crossroads Presbyterian Church 2640 Oakview Terrace Maplewood, MO 63143
We meet on Mondays.
The fall semester will meet August 31 - November 23, 2009 with no meeting on Labor Day.
The spring semester will meet January 11 - April 5, 2009. There will be no meeting the week of March 22-26.
Registration for the 2009-2010 school year is now open for both Foundations and Essentials programs at this location.
This location currently has room for the following number of students:
Abecedarians (PreK-K): 1
Apprentices (1st-2nd grade): This section is full. You can join our waiting list.
Journeymen (3rd-4th grade): 1
Masters (5th-6th grade): This section is full. You can join our waiting list.
Journeymen/Masters Combined All Boys Class: 3
Essentials: 6
Once these numbers cap our program will close to a waiting list or you will be welcome to join one of the other St. Louis area locations.
I will be accepting new registrations until July 31. Please email me as soon as possible if you are interested in joining us.

*This program currently has one class at each level. A second class could open up for each level if more kids enrolled, but those classes are contingent upon the hiring of new tutors for them. Let Keri know if you are interested. She will be taking new registrations throughout the month of August.

St. Louis Area Challenge Programs:
Challenge A - There are several students in place for a Challenge A class to begin in conjunction with the Maplewood campus, but we are in need of someone to tutor that class.. Please email Schawn Starfeldt for details on those families as well as how to begin that process.
Get Paid to Tutor If you are interested in being involved in one of these programs and being paid to tutor, please email any of the directors listed and we can discuss this further. Free tutor training as well as parent practicums are available. This training is free to anyone, but you must be a contracted tutor to sign up for the tutor portion of the practicum.
Join Us as a Challenge Director/Tutor All groups in our area are looking for folks to join us as a Challenge Director/Tutor. Please contact any one of us if you have questions about this position.
