Tonight Craig brought home a copy of Jerram Barrs' newest book, Through His Eyes; God's Perspective on Women in the Bible.
I have an excerpt, an offer, and an invitation for you.
First, the excerpt:
The excerpt is the entire introduction to the book. It's long, so I moved it to its own post. Click here to read the intro.
Now then, the offers:
Offer 1:
You can read it too. For free! The Covenant Seminary Bookstore is giving away one copy of Through His Eyes; God's Perspective on Women in the Bible by Jerram Barrs.
You can enter the drawing multiple times. Here's how:
1) Leave a comment on this post. (This will give you one entry.)
2) Blog about the giveaway on your own blog. Come back and let me know. (This will give you another entry.)
3) Twitter or Facebook it. Come back and let me know. (This will give you still another entry.)
The giveaway will end at 9pm CST on Sunday, February 15. The winner will be announced shortly thereafter.
Offer 2:
Nick (our boss at the Covenant Seminary Bookstore) is offering a special price on this book, available only here on my humble blog. Click here to purchase your copy of Jerram's new book for only $12.99. That's 35% off the retail price. You may purchase as many copies of this book at this special price as you wish. Be sure to look around the site while you are there. Nick marks almost all of the books down by 20%. Standard shipping charges still apply online. If you are local, just pop into the CTS bookstore and tell them you want the Half-Pint House discount on Jerram's new book. Presto: 35% off and no shipping!
This price is effective until Saturday, February 21.
And finally, the invitation:
Read the book with me. The book is long (352 pages), but there are many chapters (ie: they are short). This is doable, you all. And the invitation is open to women and men alike. We can all benefit from each other's perspective on this topic. If anyone wants to do this I'll begin the discussion the week of February 16 and post two chapters a week (probably Wednesday and Saturday, but totally dependent upon life scheduling).
